Default 07 caravan heat not working

My heater is not getting hot - AC works well but heat comes out barely warm. I flushed heater core - made no difference. Someone suggested the heater control valve might be bad but the manual for this model mentions nothing about that. Does anyone know if it actually has a valve or is it built into the heater core or thermostat?

You don't have a heater control valve. Is your engine temp getting up to normal range? Does the heat work when your driving?

Default heater not working

The heat does not work while driving. engine temp maintains in the lower quadrant, right around or just over the quarter mark. I live in Florida, moving to Minnesota in a couple of days. Will desperately need heat!

I double-checked and engine temp is normal. Is there some sort of valve in the thermostat that stays either open or closed? Is the thermostat difficult to access or replace?

You should be running at about 50% on that gauge. If you're hanging around 25%, the t-stat is hanging open...or even broken. IF this is the case that your gauge reads 50% normal then I would first run your ac temp all the way to full cold then back to full heat a couple times. Your blend door motor may be suggish or the control head lost it's calibration for whatever reason.
