I have someone coming to look at buying it today, I scanned the puter last night for a CEL that was on and discovered this code. Whats the normal problem child parts to look for. I will be picking up a can of carb cleaner to clean it up and also checking the contacts. I don't however have a bunch of electronics to check for voltage to test the actual switch itself. My other option would be to get another from a bone yard for 30 bucks and install it and be done. Is this a hard part to put in? I have yet to even look for it.

The code is for the EGR solinoid. The PCM trys to actuate the solinoid and see's no change in the status. Make sure it's plugged in, otherwise you'll need a scan tool to diagnose most of it.

 

For $26 you can buy the solenoid transducer from CarQuest.
