97 dodge caravan
I just bought a 97 caravan with a 3.0l. Just after i bought it it started a what sounded like a high pitch metal grind. I have replaced the idle pulley alternator and belt. first was the idler because i felt a rough spot int he bearing when turning it. then was the alternator. Sprayed wd-40 on the bearing and ran it and the noise went away. then i replaced th ebelt. everytime it got better. now it sounds like a belt noise and is only with a load on it (engine rev) but i just replaced the belt.
Any Ideas what the noise is? The only thing left is the tensioner and I see that the pulley is available separate and the power steering pump.

Welcome to DF
The problem could be the fan belt tensioner or the fan belt is out of alignment between the ALT and the P/S pump. I have also seen new fan belts make noises too.
