2002 GC Sport Knocking Behind Upper Right Fender
After searching, I cannot find a specific answer to my problem.
Have an 2002 GC Sport with 150K on it. I know for a fact the sway bar bushings are toast (have been for awhile), so I am very familiar with the sound it makes. However, I noticed a new knocking noise coming from the passenger side the other day that is definitely not the sway bar bushings. When I got home, I had the wife rock the steering wheel back and forth after turning the wheels all the way to the right. Upon listening for the sound, I found the knocking is behind the upper right fender. Additionally, I can here it in the engine compartment with the hood up.
My guess is a problem with the strut or the mounting, but I cannot be sure. The sound is muffled from the outside of the van, but very audible from inside the van. And yes, these are the original struts.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

What brand is recommended?
Is it safe to drive for a few more days until I can get it into the shop?
