1998 3.3 no spark
Great site, been poking around, so this is my first post.
I have a 1998 DC 3.3 with 183,000 on the clock, bought new by me.
The van has had the occasional misfire, running ruff, loss of power, etc.
Let it sit for 20 minutes, and off you go, like nothing was wrong.
Yesterday after a short trip of 10 miles, the van was turned off, and would not restart.
Towed home, and found it to have no spark, I have 12v @ the coil pack,
ASD feed, but no grounds on the other three wires. I did check continuity on the three wires from the PCM to the coil pak plug, and all is good.
I also have the proper voltages 5v, and 8.99v at the cam and crank sensors.
The box said cam sensor A, so I bought a new one, sorry, no start.
I'm thinking it's a PCM, but I would like a little help with my decision, before I plop down $300 for a new one.
Can someone Please let me know what you think on this problem.
Thank you so much, for a great resource

Welcome to DF
I would agree with the crank sensor, but i would look at the wires going to the sensor. With that high mileage, the wires could be brittle and cause an open circuit.
