Default high idle question

I have a 02 Gran caravan. With 3.3. 284k miles on it. I recently changed the map sensor it had mil on and gave me p0106code would start and shut down right away when replacing it one screw snapped off so there is only one holding it down it was fine for about 300 miles now when I stop and put it in park the engine runs the idle up tob1200. 1300 rims if I rev it it will drop to 750. I also noticed since then that unless I accelerate very lightly it jerks going into 2nd gear if I accelerate normally its fine. When in drive and stopped it idles around around around 750 800 it used to only be 500 I cleaned the throttle body with cleaner and a rag and checked the throttle cable to make sure it wasn't sticking any help would be appreciated

If you have a leak around the sensor, it could cause that. Try spraying around the sensor with throttle cleaner and see if the idle changes, that will let you know if it's leaking past.

Just tried spraying it no change but I did pull on the outside of the throttlebody where the cables connect in the the closed direction and it idled down so I am gonna try to see if I can clean it some more it was bad when I did it the first time so. Maybe I didn't get all of it. I am also checking to see in the store gave me the correct sensor or not

Also do you think the high idle would affect the shifting with the tranny

Well I think I am gonna pull the throttlebody off in the morning and give it a thorough cleaning and see if that helps
