Default need help with an '03 caravan

I have an '03 with a 3.3 flex fuel. it was running fine but using a little more gas than usual. on the way back home from a 4hr trip it started surging at hwy speed and had a loss of power. I got home and checked the codes and it had p0171. then a few days later it was hard to start after it had been sitting for a while, idled a little rougher than usual, bogging down at the higher rpm's,black suit, and had a map sensor code. replaced the map sensor and both codes were cleared, however all the other symptoms are still there. I've also noticed that it gets up to operating temp faster than normal and runs hotter. Bad catalytic converter due to running rich????

Welcome to DF
Look at the wire harness going to the rear cylinder head next to the p/s reservoir. And you may need to open the harness and ck for melted wires.

I checked the wireing harness and didnt see anything, but that got me thinking, at the same time that the problems started i had a blown fuse for the radiator coolant fans, replaced the fuse and they still werent working right, but then they started working again. could all of these problems be related somehow????

where would you start? the harness on the bottom front pass. side? I'm not very familiar with the wiring on caravans, or dodges for that matter. I've had 26 cars in my life but this is the first dodge.

Did you open the harness and inspect the wires. I know you said it looked okay. The map sensor,TPS and your coolant sensor wires are in that harness.
