Hello, everyone,
I'm new here, and have tried to search these forums for this topic with no luck.

I have a 2010 Grand Caravan SXT with a lot of rattles, most of which seem to come from in and around the power sliding doors, and they are driving me nuts! The vehicle only has 15,000 miles on it. I've had people ride in the second row and try to locate the source, with only vague results. The rattles seem worse inside the forward portion of both sliding doors, just below the window, and just behind the door post. It seems to be inside the door rather than with the plastic skin, but I'm not sure.

Can anyone help?

My wife's 2008 has been in quite a few times for rattles. They replaced the whole ceiling assembly after trying a few other remedies. Rattles went away for a while, now it's something else. I don't drive her van much but when I do, the rattles make me crazy.

Good luck, the newer vans are supposed to be better than the 08.

Ours has 7 pages of service records at the dealer. Just hit 30k on the odometer.

 

7 pages of service records? That's not very encouraging, but not surprising to me. Dodge/Chrysler could have used the intervening years since the "crash" to improve it's quality, but... If my 2005 had fewer miles on it, I'd much rather be driving that one!

As for the rattles, the dealer where I bought the van says that they are well aware of the problem with these doors rattling, but there is no known fix for them. Another dealer closer to me says that he hasn't heard about this being a common problem, so I'm taking it to him next week.

I heard it could be the striker latch needs lubrication. If still under warranty take it in. I am building my list for the next trip in.40000kms on odo
