I have a 2000 Dodge Grand Caravan. Both visors have the flip up mirrors with lights. The one on the driver side no longer functions and the flip up cover is loose. the one on the passenger side is good.

What I would like to do is take the one from the drivers side out of the visor and examine it to see why it no longer functions, why the flip up cover is damaged (probably why it doesn't work), repair if possible, and if it cannot be repaired, swap it with the functional unit on the passenger side. They look compatible, no left side, right side as far as I can see.

Does anyone know how they can be removed from the visor without damaging them or the visor themselves? Is there a diagram, some pictures, that show assembly or how they look outside the visor?

Also, I did a search for visor and a few other things but it doesn't bring back results, even my own post. Problem with the site or am I doing something wrong?
