2003 Vibration
I just wanted to 2nd the opinion on replacing all of the motor/transmission mounts. I've been through this ordeal in detail..... i would look for obvious causes first (as you have) but before doing anything else, I'd replace all of the mounts before going further... I think I paid about $160. for all of them in our 97 Grand Caravan... It could be even less if you have the ability to press out/in just the rubber inserts in each of them.
This is a lesson I've learned the hard way!
Hope this helped someone else out there!

I'm having similar vibrations in my '06 DGC. After playing around with the CV axle, it seems that it isn't supported properly; it's kinda cantilevered a good distance and supported at the splines only. I notice it flops around +1/4 inch. I doubt there's a bearing support in there else it would be impossible to install the CV axle.
I just put in a new axle less than 1000 miles ago and still vibrating like crazy when accelerating.
Does this make sense? Is there is a way to repair/replace the female splines.

Actually, I ended up replacing the drivers side cv shaft AGAIN and it is smooth as can be now. I did buy one of the aftermarket outer bearing/seal combo setups, but I have not installed it yet. I am going to give it a few months and see if it comes back again. I am hoping I just got a bad cv shaft last time, but since it was supposed to be new and not remaned, I would think it should have lasted longer. I do think I need new sway bar bushings, as I do have a clunk when I hit bumps, and it has new struts and upper mounts too, so that is about all that is left to clunk around.
Did who ever you took back the cv shaft to give you a hard time about getting an exchange? How were you able to convince them to exchange it if there weren't any signs on the cv shaft as being bad?
Thank you. I will look forward to response.

Actually, I bought it from O'Reilly's, so it has a lifetime warranty. I usually don't have any issues returning anything to them as long as I am getting the same part. I told them that I had already checked tires, brake rotors, and motor mounts. The asked me basically how I knew too, and after I told them everything I checked, they gave me the new one. I am still waiting to see if the vibration comes back again when the shaft gets a little wear.
