Default Adding Factory Keyless Entry to 2001 Grand Caravan

I have a 2001 Grand Caravan Sport. It has the highline body controller (power windows, power door locks, three zone A/C), but it didn't come with RKE. I see from other posts in this forum that I would need to add the RKE module under the dash. The question I have: does the instrument panel wiring harness have the plug(s) for this module?

I see from the parts catalog there are two wiring harness parts shown for this vehicle. The Base/SE part number is 04869553AE (Keyless Entry, Innity). The LX/Sport part number is 04869554AD (A/C 3 Zone Temp Control). I would presume my van has the second part number in it - does it also have the wiring to support the addition of the RKE module?

Try lifting the center dash pad and see if you have RKE module there or the wire connector.

What I meant by saying, "it didn't come with RKE", was that according to the build information I received from Dodge this Caravan was not assembled with this option. Are you saying that it is possible the RKE module would be under the dash even though it wasn't ordered? Would the wire connector be there if it's not?

What I am saying, the harness maybe there and all you may need to do is install an RKE module. And then enable so the RKE can work. You did say you highline body control module?

OK, cool. I bought a new Mopar RKE accessory kit tonight. I'll let you know how it goes upon installation. Thanks.
