Buddy's 07 Caravan has code p0455. 3.3L engine. When we started it up there was a whistling coming from the area of the power steering return hose or the brake booster line. Didn't see any fluid leaking but there was a lot of cavitation in the power steering resevoir. When the engine was shut off the fluid was a little low, but only just under the full line.
Is the power steering return hose a common problem? Hoping if that's the problem we can just change the rubber part of the hose?
There is no grinding sound from the PS pump at all so it sounds like its getting fluid.

 

Well it would appear that when we tightened the gas cap last night, that made the code clear. Of course not till he was at the shop! And they said the bubbling in the power steering resevoir was normal.
