How can I fix this?
2001 Grand Caravan ES. Turn on the radio, the brake lights come on. Turn off the radio, the brake lights go off. Everything else on the van seems to be working fine. Thanks for your help.
Thanks. I tried pulling the IOD fuse first with no results. Then the wiggle test. When I rotate the fusebox (IPM) upwards (with radio on), the brake lights go out, when I return the IPM to its regular position the brake lights come back on. I have wiggled most of the wires and wire bundles and can't identify the one causing the problem. What is my next step?
the front control module sends the power to the brake lamps. You want to roll up the PDC and see if there is corrosion underneith causing the voltage to jump. Also make sure you dont have spread terminals in the front control module connector.
