98 caravan A/C belt
I"m trying to replace an a/c belt for my friends 98 dodge caravan, but i cant find any info on it. Its a short v-belt that goes around the secondary drive pully over an idler pully and around the ac pully, but i'm not sure if i have to lower the idler pully somehow, or move the compressor... any help would be appreciated...Im sorry if a similar post was made I'm new to this..thank for your time.... REMOVAL
To remove the air conditioning compressor drive belt, first loosen the idler pulley lock nut, then turn the adjusting screw to lower the idler pulley Air Conditioning Drive Belt - 3.0L Engine
INSTALLATION/ADJUSTMENT
To adjust the air conditioning drive belt, loosen the idler pulley lock nut Air Conditioning Drive Belt - 3.0L Engine and adjust belt tension by tightening adjusting screw. Refer to Proper Belt Tension and Belt Tension Chart in this Section for procedure. Tighten pulley lock nut to 54 N·m (40 ft. lbs.) after adjustment.
