I am having trouble with the accelerator after jump starting our Grand Caravan. It starts fine but won't accelerate properly. I remember this happening before but I can't remember what the fix is. It has something to do with resetting the computer by doing something with the key in the ignition. Anyone have any thoughts?

I'm guessing you still have a throttle cable and noy fly by wire. The throttle blade may need to be cleaned. Or the cable is sticking.

 

helpfull if you posted yr of caravan you have. i kinda hit my accelerator hard few times on my work truck causing it to loss sink with the system. its a fly by wire acceleration. new truck. it went into what probably you are experiencing. limp mode. how i fixed it was to disconnect the battery and re connect and it fixed it.
