Moving from CA to FL with a wife, 3 yr old and 8 mo old!! Want to put in dvd set up in 2000 dodge grand caravan but don't have a lot of $$. Portable seems too risky as kids could drop etc. so looking at overheads. Saw others talk about issues with aftermarkets not fitting their specific van for some reason or another...ideas or suggestions?

My grand kids watch movies on a portable DVD player. And don't have any problem dropping the unit. I would stay with the portable unit, But thats me.
