I use my Grand voyager as a work truck, and tried to add leaves under the existing ones, but ran into trouble with the way the springs are attached to the axle. They are sanwiched between a rubber bushing, and have a solid locating pin 1/2 inch diameter, 1 inch long attached permanently to the bottom of the spring, and goes thru the bushing into the spring perch on the axle. also, the cap that secures the spring, and bushing assembly is non adjustible, meaning nothing can be added to the thickness without having a new spring hold down made. Google Timbren SES helpers, or Hellewig add on helper springs. Also, Monroe makes overload shocks.

most spring shops will add a leaf for a reasonable price. this is better than stiffer shocks and will increase the weight load the van will carry. adding a leaf will lift the rear slightly but not as much as those handicap conversion vans
