Default 02 GC Rear AC blows warm

My dodge Grand Caravan AC blows warm in rear. New compressor installed as it went bad. Before the rear work great till the compressor died. What do I need to check?

Get under van, passenger side, rear section behind rear wheel. look for the a/c line. turn on a/c cold run for a couple of minutes. does the a/c line get cold. if yes, then possibly the rears unit expansion value not functioning properly. the part cost me $35.00.

Is there an easy way to free it up or do I have to replace it. Would I have to evacuate the whole system again and refill?

You did say that you put a compressor in, but then mentioned the "rear" work.

What rear work was done, since compressor is in engine compartment?
Was the line cold when you felt in the rear section(see where i mentioned for you to find line).

You have cold air in front, so i don't see how vacuum and refill would do anything.

Rear ac line is not cold at all that goes to the expansion valve. It looks like the line for the rear comes off the front what looks very similar to the rear block you mentioned. Does that make sense. What can I check next?

The line from the front does go to the rear as you say. You replaced compressor, when replacing compressors, accumulators are always replaced (shinning cannister by firewall on passenger side. Purpose of accumulator to remove moisture from the AC system
An accumulators job is also store excess refrigerant not being utilized by the evaporator. Moisture creates warmer air.

when you checked a/c line in rear did you have rear a/c on?

I have been asking around concerning your issue. NO responses yet. I am leaning towards the rear expansion valve, but then I ask myself--why would the rear line that you touched be warm and not cold. You touched both lines going back there?

What failed on the compressor? If it blew up internally, it creates alot of metal debris that goes through the system. It doesn't take much to plug an expansion valve. If the front cools and the rear doesn't, then the expansion valve will need to be replaced and the lines will need to be cleaned. If you don't clean the lines, it is possible the new valve will get plugged also. If the valve is plugged, neither of the lines will get cold so that is another sign of a bad valve.
