2002 Dodge Caravan 3.3L having huge electrical issues. Please help!
This van has been having issues for a while but they got a lot worse yesterday. For about a year the van/s power windows, back hatch, ride side sliding door, and heater fan settings have not been working. The windows only work some of the time, the back hatch and side door are stuck shut, and you can only set the heat on the highest fan setting. Now just yesterday the engine light has come on, the door locks are only opening manually, the radio will not work, and the heater stays on for about 10 seconds after you turn off the can and take the key out of the ignition (bizarre how that would stay on without any power to the vehicle) I have looked on other threads and found that maybe it could be a serpentine belt? If thats even on this year of van. Its my Mother's van so I am not 100% sure on the parts but please post if you have any idea what is wrong. Thanks!!!!

Welcome to DF
The radio and the power door locks maybe the same problem. Make sure the IOD fuse is plugged in. And also ck all the fuses with a 12 volt test light. Just looking at them doesn't work. The sliding doors, may have either broken wires in the tracks or there is debris in the tracks. First thing to do is make sure the tracks are clean, and the have the door modules checked for codes. The heater sounds like a problem with the fan speed resistor. Try replacing it first.

Your check engine light is telling you the Powertrain Control Module (PCM) has detected a fault and stored a code. Head to an Autozone or the like and have the code read for free. Let us know what the code is. Make sure your battery connections are clean and tight.
Each of your problems may have a fix specific to that system or many could be related and caused by a single problem unit. If it's the later I would look towards the Integrated Power Module (IPM). That's the fuse box near the battery. Early 4th generation vans were plagued by corroded IPMs causing all kinds of electrical system havoc. What to do? First disconnect and isolate the negative battery cable. Now disconnect the IPM connections and inspect for corrosion or contact damage. Clean using electrical contact cleaner. Reconnect the battery. Still no go? Next, disassemble the IPM and inspect the internal circuit board. If you see corrosion there you can try cleaning it but you'll likely have to replace the IPM.
Surpentine belt? Every Chrysler Corp van built at least since 96 has a surpentine belt. Not sure how this fits your symptoms.
