2000 faulty airbag light
Welome to DF
The air bag light is because there is fault code in the module. It could be just the clockspring or there could be other problems in the system. you need to have the van check for codes. The E-brake, check under the dash and look at the e-brake switch. It is either the switch is broken and shorting to ground or the wire is short to ground. Also check the brake fluid level in the master cylinder too.

check for recalls of your vehicle online. my 1998 developed a clicking noise from within the steering wheel itself when turned, a couple of days later the airbag light went on, and very funny, a couple of days after that, I got a recall notice in the mail for faulty clockspring repair. don't mess around with an airbag light, you don't want that airbag to deploy while you're drinking coffee on the way to work, especially if you wear glasses!! is your emergency brake on just a little bit? is the brake reservoir at normal levels? if brake is off and brake fluid level ok, and if that light only came on at the same time as your airbag light, it is probably wired that way so you can notice something is wrong with two lights on. my mitsubishi is like that, battery light and brake light came on when my alternator was failing. replaced the alternator and both lights went out.
