Default Oil leak through oil pressure sensor?

Been having a minor oil leak on my '05 Caravan SE (4cyl) as well as off/on issues with the oil pressure sensor idiot light, never located the source of the oil leak.

Anyway, I finally bought a new oil pressure sensor and replaced it yesterday during an oil change. I noticed that the oil sensor was wet with oil but the area immediately above the oil sensor was dry & clean. A large drop of oil fell out of the oil pressure sensor when I unplugged the electrical connection.

I guess my question is can oil leak through the middle of the oil pressure sensor?

Yes, that is where they most always leak. You should also thouroughly clean the connector and add dielectric grease to the connector. If left leaking long enough, oil will push all the way up the wire to the PCM connector and fill that connector with oil also.
