Default 2006 GC - Tire suggestion

Hi,
I was wondering what advantage or disadvantage will I face installing 225/60/16 or 215/60/16 tires over standard factory 215/65/16. In other words they are 60 instead of 65 and in one case a bit wider. I see no problem.
Thanks

I don't see any problem, also have the pinion factor change too.

not much, speedo will be affected by a little.
Use these website to compare 2 size and see how much speedo will be off.

slightly wider tires usually last a little longer, and slightly increase ur U turn Radius.

I'm on my second set of 225/60x16's on my Town & Country. They're maybe 1/4 inch lower than the OEM 215/65x16 Touranzas. Not much speedo difference but better handling. I only use uni-directional summer/rain performance tires, so I have to put up with more road noise and groove following on poorly maintained roads. The advantage is better traction especially in our tropical rain storms. I went with cheap Sumitomos this time and I miss the Michelin Hydroedges that lasted for 60k of my aggresive miles.

be sure to update us with your findings, I don't need tires now, but will be book marking this thread to see what you find out, especially if you go with the wider tires

and nice tire calc
