Default 2006 T&C - Vibrating Steering Wheel

Hi,

Sorry, but I have another question to ask. Any idea why I have vibration in steering wheel when applying the brakes? It is not bad when driving in the city but on a highway it is quite noticeable. I have tried to shift to Neutral when driving on a highway and the same thing happens. I don't feel any "loose" condition, no noise or bangs from suspension. The only thing that I have are very worn tires. Could that be it? Could lost balance and excessive wear cause the vibration? The brakes were serviced about 4 months ago. What about the rack and pinion? I have no leaks nor "morning stifness". No side pulling, etc.
Your suggestions are always appreciated.

Thanks

The rotors sound warped. Most common issue during braking vibration.

Only when applying brakes? Warped rotors. If there's enough thickness left a shop will turn them on a lathe and true them up for you.

I'm not sure is there is enough thickness but I will consider new rotors. They are only about $40 a piece. Thanks for the advice.

The shop has to measure the thickness before they can legally turn them.
