Default Draining coolant 2001 Grand Caravan 3.3L

I want to drain the coolant in our 2001 Grand Caravan Sport, 3.3L. The Chilton manual says to remove the vent plug but it is not located where the diagram shows it to be. Anyone know where this plug is?

Or could someone explain how to drain, flush and refill the coolant on a 2001 grand caravan 3.3L?

Thanks

Welcome to DF
If all you are doing is a drain and fill. Just remove the lower radiator hose and drain the coolant in a bucket.

Will that drain the plastic reservoir too? I think I need to flush it as the coolant is brown and foamy.

Thanks!

You can always remove the reservoir bottle and clean. Are you having an overheating problem or just wanted to drain and fill?

Just wanted to drain and fill because of funky color and foam/gunk like texture of fluid. I bought a little bottle of Prestone Flush thinking that would clean better. Also found an online manual for my model and it did not mention anything about a vent plug like the Chiltons did so I am hoping it does not apply.

Do not remove the vent plug/petcock, the o-ring will fall apart and cause a leak when you put in back into the radiator. Remove the lower hose instead. and then bleed the air out of the system.
