96 Caravan 3.8L No Start after ECU/PCM replacement
My 96 caravan stalled in speed (about 35mph), Engine cranked, no start. Ckd. for power at the coil pack -ok, Ckd. for flash at the 3 coil pack driver circuits, found one circuit short to ground. Un-plugged the ECU/PCM, short went away. Figured coil driver in ECU shorted, got a boneyard ECU, plugged it in and fired up, ran great for about 4 weeks, then stalled in speed again. Ckd. coil circuits, found a different coil driver circuit short to ground. Got boneyard to replace ECU. Plugged it in, starts and runs for 2-3 sec. then quits. Found another ECU on e-bay with same part# as my original ECU, plugged it in, Starts and runs for 2-3 sec. then quits. Same as boneyard ECU. If I plug my original ECU in with shorted coil driver, and dis-connect the shorted circuit at the coil, it will run on 4 cylinders. I know it's something with the replacement ECU's. Did Chrysler use some kind of Anti-theft program in some of their ECU's causing my no start, and if so, can the ECU be re-programmed? Also, what is causing the coil drivers to short out in the ECU? I replaced the coil pack the first time it died on me. so it's not the coil pack. Any Info would be great!!! Thanks!!!

I have pdf files for the coil codes you are getting. If you would like them, just send me a pm with your email address and Ill send them. Also anytime you replace the PCM or any modules the vin number and mileage need to programed into the module.
