I have a 95 Caravan with a V6 that I bought used here in Hawaii. It has 95k miles on it. Most of the time it runs great, but occasionally when I step on the gas to accelerate nothing happens. The engine stays at the same RPM. As I give it more gas it eventually responds with a burst of acceleration and then will run normally for a while. Any suggestion?

Clean the throttle body and the AIS motor. Alos ck the EGR tube and EGR. The tube could be plugged. By any chance did the ck engine light come on?

 

Engine light has never came on.
