Im leaning toward the rear side valve train. I have heard this same tapping on so many Dodge and Chrysler minicabs over the years, I just thought it was from lack of oil changing. I change my oil every 3 to 5k. I have now 104,200 miles on it. What is a good oil to use? Something for the high mirage?

I know it doesn't sound like a rod bearing, I know it sounds more like a lifter. No this is not known problem with the motor. But I have seen this problem for my self with two minivans I was working on and I think there was a member that was having the same problem and posted back, that a rod bearing was causing sound. I'll try to find the post and post it.
