Where is it leaking from? If it's a new component, they would assume you have warrenty on the parts and would prefer free over paying more.+

I called to today and spoke with him over the phone and he said that there is no leak and that he wordered wrong. He said he should have put on the paper no leaks found. He assured me that everything is working fine. My concern is that in the invoice the mechanic wrote "Vehicle didn't pass leak down test." To me that means that there is a leak, unless didn't pass leak down test means that there was no leak found. Does didn't pass leak down test means no leaks found?

Leak down test is something the a/c machine does after if vacuums the system. It needs to hold a percentage of the vacuum for so long or it fails it. We have a machine that fails that test all the time even though no vacuum is lost........Pile of C. I guess your going to have to play the waiting game and see if it holds. As long as there is dye in the system, locating a leak in the future should be pretty easy.
