Default Parking brake light stays on

I have 1997 caravan and when I release the parking brake the dash light stays on and ofcourse the day time running lights don't come on,there is 1 grey and black wire that goes to the switch, the switch works but the wire when disconnected is still grounded,I presume it activates a relay,I notice in other dodge comments there is a module that operates the running lights does any one now if it could be the problem, and where is it located,

Welcome to DF
You should only have one wire going to the park brake switch. Unplug it, and see if the light goes out.

Hi thanks for responding, and yes there is 1 wire,I disconnected it and still the light is on,I put my multi meter on the wire while disconnected and the other end of the meter to ground and it was still grounded just as like what the switch does,so I thought is the wire grounding some where in the harness or is it something else, could it be the module that people mention in previous questions?
