Default Automatic sliding doors

Hi,
I have a 2008 Grand Caravan with automatic sliding doors. I'm just wondering if I'm supposed to be doing anything to them (maintenance/check/lub) on a regular basis. I haven't done anything to them and the Chrysler dealer has never mentionned anything.

Just to make sure the tracks are kept clean.

Based on forum posts the biggest problem with the sliding doors appears to be the wire bundle running in the flexable channel at the bottom of the door. The wires will chafe and short out against the frame creating problems ranging from door movement to erratic or dead instruments and even stalling. There was a safety recall on 2010/11s (???) for that same bundle creating a fire hazard. May not hurt to take a closer look at that bundle maybe once a year or so.

Thanks! I wasn't sure if it would need some sort of lubrication on the track.
There was a recall for potential fire hazard and I brought it in to get fixed.

Arwen,

Did you bring it in for the recall recently? If not, you can PM me your VIN and I can update you as to if any other recalls exist.
