I have a 94 dodge caravan and it starts and idles fine now after I put a new distribitor in and coil pack and now when I give it gas to take off it will sometimes go and then it will cut out really bad and sometimes die and backfires any ideas and could it be a fuel filter issue

I have been reading alot of posts on here and I decided to replace the plug wires and that seems to have taken care of the problem so far she is running great!
