Default dealer repair procedure for the sliding door recall???

i'm new to the fourm just bought a 2008 grand caravan in march.
last week i took my van in for the recall work for the sliding door and the a/c drain. well the replacement part for the a/c was damaged during shipping so they just did the door.

i checked the doors when i went to the dealer and the pass side looked ok with no scuffs or anything, but the drivers side had worn through the factory elecrical tape where the wire sits up against the "snake" (looks like a chain that guides the wires and they sit inside of it. I let them know this.

they pulled my van in an 5 min later they said it was done. i went out and checked it they didnt do anything to the pass side, and on the drivers side all they did was unclip the "snake off the door. so now the wires have to hold it up.

is this the correct way dodge intended this to be fixed. if not who would i contact to file a complaint and have it fixed correctly?

i cant find anywhere online that tells the correct way to fix the recall.

thanks for any help.

That would be incorrect. They should install a wedge piece where the track harness connects to the door but it should still be connected. Also if any of the wires were cut where the rub through was, they should have been repaired. I'd love to post the bulletin but they are in a format that can't be cut and pasted. Needless to say, it wasn't done correctly.

thanks for the quick reply. should i go talk to the manager at the dealer? i've got another apointment friday for the a/c recall. or should i call the dodge number off thier website 1-800-423-6343 (1-800-4A-DODGE). and file a complaint. this is a really worthless dealer, they were almost shut down a few years ago. but some how made it out. the only dealer i've ever seen without a single new car on their lot for about 4 months. and cusomer service is terrible.

Chris is with customer relations, send him a PM. He can contact them or find you a dealer that's not a POS.

Ford,

I PM'd you requesting your information. I can find a different dealer for you if you like and also find out about the recall procedure and get it to you as well.
