05 caravan 3.8 P0300 code- cyl's 1,3,5
Check engine light comes on, P0300 multiple misfires is the only code. If I watch the misfire counter on the scanner while the engine is running, only cyl's 1, 3 and 5 show misfires. There is no noticeable roughness at idle or under a load. The only symptom is the MIL which sometimes flashes at which point causes some kind of limp mode and the trans. won't go into overdrive. I have done the usual checks, new plugs and wires, new ignition coil, cylinder compression is good all around. Are leaking intake gaskets an issue on these things? Wouldn't a lean misfire set other MIL codes? Please help, I need this junker to get us to Florida in a couple weeks!
Compression test is next. Also, read this post on multiple misfires

Hmm, 1,3,5 all on the back bank of cylinders. Not ringing my bell but it sure seems like that should mean something.
