Quick grinding noise?
Hello! I'm new to this board and have a question about my 1996 Grand Caravan 6 cylinders. This started happening a week ago:
I start the engine= perfect
I shift to reverse to get out of parking space= perfect
I brake then shift to drive= quick slight grinding noise, some occasions louder than other.
If I make a hard left to get out of the space I also hear a creaking noise.
I drive away= perfect. It runs great, shifts smoothly on street/freeway, no noises like tapping/clanking/thumping.
Hubby has just changed both front brake calipers and he says the brake pads and rotors look good too.
So what's wrong with it? Any ideas would be greatly appreciated!

Welcome to DF
The grinding sound, does sound like a ratchet? If it does thats normal, you are hearing the solenoid pack. The creeking sound could be sway bar bushings, ball joints or strut links.
