So your chmsl doesn't work and you assume the lamp is bad? The chmsl is an led assembly and I have yet to see a bad one. Power goes to the brake lamp switch on the light green / red wire and then when the pedal is pushed, it sends power out on the white / dark green wire. Have you checked for power at the chmsl connector?
