I have a 2001 Dodge caravan sport. I am trying to install a drop down ceiling tv but am not sure how to hook it up. I I have the 3 wires in the ceiling I know which one is the hot and ground but the yellow wire not sure. The tv I have has a hot and a ground, when I hook up the hot to the hot on the van and the ground to the ground to the van the dome light and tv come on. But when you shut doors the tv and dome light on drop down tv stay on. Help what do I need to do?

You need the instructions from that tv's manufacturer that should tell you to what the tv wires should be hooked up to.

You also need a wiring schematic for that model van, haynes manuals have them.

Until you do that you won't know what the wire is for, it could be passive or you may have to wire it differently.

Not much help but electronics and wiring is something you can't guess at.
