I was looking at a project on a new construction site yesterday, and I put ANOTHER DING in the oil pan. It was really muddy from all of the rain lately, and quite rutted up from heavy equipment, so no good path to get where I needed to be. I could use advice on any way to gain some front ground clearance. Rear is no problem.

BTW, the first ding was on a trip to the appelachian mountains. Was on a church mission trip where we fix houses, and the directions to the site were literally QUOTE- "Drive to the end of the gravel road. Turn left and drive up the creek until you see the house on the left"

Love the van, and never get stuck, but need more ground clearance before the next ding turns into a gash.

I don't think there is a lift kit for these vans. I would guess taller tires, just off the top of my head. Unless someone else has any ideals.

make a skid plate. We grafted a plate off an s-10 4x4 onto a customer's minivan. that solved a lot of their problems.

skid plate makes the most sense!!

But i do know that handicap accessable vans utilize different strut mounts to raise the front end ( and rear end ) in order to get ground clearance for the heavy ramps used for wheel chairs, something to consider if the mounts are not that expensive.
