Default Van overheating (PLEASE HELP)

Ok so i was driving one day, and when i went to pull away i smelled something, like antifreeze, well i pulled away and i saw a HUGE puddle of liquid and then drops where i started driving...and then the van started to overheat. Could it be the water pump? Here is the weird thing though, When i went to drive it today to test it out....it had antifreeze in it??? and it still overheated. I put more in and drove it around for a minute and when i got out when it was very hot the reservoir still had water....i thought when a water pump went out that it just spit water everywhere....is it not allowing it in there or is it something else...PLEASE HELP!!!

What year caravan? what size engine? how many miles? bought it new or used?

You do not fill it up at the bottle, you open the radiator Cap (when car is cold) and fill it up there.
Radiator cap:

And after you fill it up, you run the car with the radiator off for few minute until it warms up, Coolant level will drop, check the radiator coolant level, and fill it up again.
If it stops overheating, and not leaking bad, you can at least drive it into a shop/dealer. if you only going to make a short trip to a shop, and dont live in a freezing climate location, just plain tap water is fine.

assuming you have a 3.3l or 3.8l V6 engine,
If water pump is leaking, coolant will be pissing out behind passenger front wheel.
if it is the radiator, it will leak around the front bumper. anywhere else, you'll just have to look at the leaking point.

I would also add to pressure check the cooling system to find any leaks.
