At work, we just got a 2012 Grand Caravan. It doesn't have DRL! At least, that's what the dealer told us, and that if we wanted DRL it would cost us quite a bit... Also, that if we installed any aftermarket DRL kits, it would probably void the warranty.

Is DRL an option that can be enabled? Is our dealer pulling our leg? Why would Dodge suddenly stop offering DRL on their vehicles?

 

Standard on Canada, Optional on USA. I would have to see the options list to know for sure if you have it.

 

well voiding warranty is another thing they may use to scare tactics. but i think dealer can install this with the right gear ordered. if for example if vehicle had to come to canada and registered it would need to have that upgraded into cause its law.

although i not much of a fan cause everytime open doors the lights come on. good and bad about this. first for example if u camping it light up the camp ground lol.

 

You can turn off the interior lights. Scroll the dimmer all the way down until it clicks.

 

i meant the head light come on. stay on for like a 1min.

 

DRL is almost a deal breaker as the dealer could not find the DRL configuration to activate. Any idea why DRL would be hidden/removed in Caravan 2012 . Cannot believe they complicated the DRL situation to point where the dealer lost a locked in sale. Dealer is now trying to reach the Chrysler Tech Support on options to enable the DRL as I might need it in case of an extended trip to Canada in 2014 . Any guidance in this regard would be highly appreciated
