Okay, I changed the Outer Tie Rod Ends on my 2007 Grand Caravan SXT.
I removed the boots from the Rack to inspect the Inner Tie Rod Joints.
I unlocked the wheel and turned the rack full to the right, inspected the right joint, did the same to inspect the other side. I did not replace the inners. Put it all back together and now the Steering Wheel Lock does not work. i.e. Van in Park, Key out of ignition, you can rotate the wheel. If the front is jacked up you can go full right to full left.

I talked to a couple of Mechanics I know, and they couldn't think of anything I could have done during the tie rod end replacement.

So I would I go about figuring out what the problem might be, The lock is in the Steering Column right?

Should I even worry about this?

 

You did nothing, the '07 model year does not have steering column lock. The minivan hasn't had it since I believe '03 and I personally love it, always forget to turn the key before I lift them to do brakes and such.

 

Are you serious, I could have swore that the wheel was locked because I turned on the key, to turn it the first time, out of habbit from working on other cars.

I have a 98 Town & Country and it has a wheel lock.

I just assumed that the 07 did as well.

Just out of curiosity why did Dodge remove that feature do you know?

I don't think it does anything for theft deterance so they eliminated it (I assume) to make the columns cheaper.
