my across the street neighbour just gave me a set of 4 barely used 17 inch snow tires on 17 inch rims with pressure sensors all ready to go.

i have a 2010 dodge grand caravan that currently has 16 inch wheels on it.

my question is, can i use these 17 inch wheels instead of the 16?

we tried one on to see if it fit and it did. the only minor concern was clearance with the bottom plate of the strut. with the 17 inch wheels, it was approx 1/2 inch less.

I don't see why it wouldn't. The tire pressure light may come on, Even if you have tire pressure sensor on all the tires.

 

my thanks for your reply, it was just what i was hoping for. a free set of snow tires on the rims. doesnt happen to me very often.

You may want to compare the diameter of your current tires and the snow tires. If they are different, your speedometer and odometer will be off by that amount.
