Just bought a 2012 grand caravan sxt. I had to download the owners manual because the book they give you now really doesn't tell you much and is very thin.
If i am reading it right it says we only have to change the oil every 8ooo miles ? is that correct? and that only the dealer can check the trans fluid?

 

8000 miles is the maximum you can go between services. You are supposed to follow the oil change indicator so they don't list it in the maintenance schedules like they used to. And yes on the transmission fluid.
