Hello. I am in need of an EGR valve on one of our vans and it calls for with or without code XZZ. I don't have access to the van for a few days,so I was hoping that someone could help out and run this VIN to figure out which one I need. As I understand it, the last 8 digits will tell the story. 5B314806 is what we have, but if you need more, let me know via PM.

you have with code XZZ, you also have an open recall for the underbody a/c lines. I can't believe they haven't went bad by now.

 

Wow. thanks, Tizzy. I will look into the AC line recall, but this is a modified van with a wheelchair lift, so I'm not sure what all has been changed underneath. I guess I'll take a look and if things look non-stock, I'll let 'er buck.

 

So code xzz is for a vehicle tracking system. Something like a stability feature?

 

It means the vehicle had a midyear model change. And you are correct, most handicap modified vans didn't have the lines so that would explain why it is still open

 

OK, so it's just "some" change and it's just a serial number break? Something like "above this serial # it's xzz, below that serial # it's non-xzz".

Hey, y'all! Can someone tell me if an 05 GC, VIN ending 5R306181 has code XZZ?

Seems like it would have been smarter to just do this by build date, rather than special codes. Or have an option code sticker in the trunk like GM does....
