Is there supposed to be a vacuum hose here? I am fearing that I knocked something off it. Here is what I did. First, it needed a tune up. 85000 miles and still had original plugs. Ran great though. Changed plugs and now, the engine sounds good under the hood. No missing or anything when you hit the throttle. But, you go around back and it sounds horrible. There is no power at all, verry sluggish. So, the exhaust has been replaced from the motor back. Everything is brand new. Still, same issue. No check engine light or anything. I am confused...and yes, the firing order has been double and triple checked! PLEASE HELP!!! It also smells a little rich when it is running, like it is being bogged down.

 

How about checking your onboard computer for error codes...you can run up to your local auto-center (i.e., AutoZone, etc.) and borrow their reader (they normally won't charge ya because they want you to buy the fix) and see what you find.

 

It should be plugged if nothing else. I can't remember what goes there, EGR? Purge?

 

I was going to do that and they told me if my check engine is not on, which it isn't, then they wouldn't be able to pull codes from it. I think I will just take it in anyway. Thank you
