I have a 95 caravan 2.5l .

I was out the other day when i stopped at the store, came out van wouldn't start! I had it towed to a friends garage where it sat for the weekend. Today we figured we would try and start it........checked for fire, it has spark!

when i turned it over it started?

Now when it went out and wouldnt run, i checked fuse's, and couldn't here the pump run....although it could have and i didn't here it because of traffic.

what could cause this? I just filled it up with gas ..........should i check the fuel pressure, filter, wiring....whats a good place to start and what if any sensors could cause this?

First I would check to see if you have fuel pressure. If you don't have fuel pressure, try banging on the fuel tank with you hand and with the key on. Do you hear the fuel pump?

 

The thing is running now.

The only thing i can do is wait until the next time it goes out.

What is the fuel pressure supposed to be for this van?

Ok, I just tried it and it wouldnt start....cold morning 45degree's. Beat on the take with my shop hammer....not to hard! Then it started , running fine now.

There is no way on this 2.5l that i can see where you can test the fuel pressure.

Hope this give's everyone the info they need so i can get some idea of where to start with this thing.

Well , after barely making home yesterday , i tried it this morning and would not start until i taped the tank.

Looks like the fuel pump may need replaced....although im going to check a couple of things first.
