I have a 2001 dodge Grand Caravan. I have to press the brake peddle several times to get it out of Park. I think it may be the "Brake shift interlock switch". Does anyone know where this switch is located on a 2001 caravan? How can I test it? Is this a common problem for the caravan? Any other suggestion?

ANSWER: i own a repair shop,and the interlock switch is located behind the brake pedal,,that may be all that's wrong with it,,that's usually all that does go wrong with them,id check it before i did anything else,,its a simple fix,and not a very expensive one either,,good luck with it,hope this help
