My oil light started flashing about a week ago. I changed the oil and filter. 2 days after it started again but this time when at idle and the brake on it would stay lit and beep. I can put it in park or drive and it goes away.

2000 GC 3.3 182,000 miles

Any thoughts?

 

The cheap fix would to replace the oil pressure switch. The right way is to hook up a mechcanical pressure gauge and post the oil pressure at idle.

Yup, parts store and you remove the oil pressure sender and connect it there.

 

one more question, where is the oil pressure sender located? TIA

 

Look for the oil filter and you see it next to or above the filter.
