I've seen a lot of vehicles that have to be reprogramed to fix a problem, this particular vehicle has no tsb's for anything like this. have you ever heard of anybody reprogramming for a misfire?

The only flashes are mainly for transmission shift improvements and codes such as the cam and crank sensor codes. Nothing for for misfires.
