Default 2004 Caravan Anni. Edition - Exterior lights don't blink

Hello Folks,
I have 2004 Dodge Caravan Anni. Edition. When I used to lock/unlock the van using the key's lock/unlock function, it always used to blink all exterior lights. On first unlock attempt, it used to blink left side lights and if I press the unlock button again, then it used to blink all side's exterior lights.

But now something has gone wrong. I can lock/unlock the van using key's lock/unlock function but there is no blinking of lights. I am not sure if I can fix this problem myself or I need to visit the dealer to reprogram something.

This van also has head lights delay function. That is working fine. It turns off the head lights after 60 or 90 seconds I believe.

Can any of you please help me so that the exterior lights start blinking when I lock/unlock the van?

Thank you so much.

This is out of the 2007 caravan owners manual, you can check yours to see if it is different, this is from page 24

To Turn Off “Flash Lights On Lock/Unlock” — If

can be turned on and off by performing the following
procedure:
1. Press the LOCK button for 5 to 10 seconds.
2. While the LOCK button is pressed, (after 5 seconds)
press the UNLOCK button. Release both buttons.
The “Flash Lights On Lock/Unlock” feature can be
reactivated by repeating this procedure or by performing

Hi Tizzy1,
I will look in to the manual I have. Thanks for your quick reply. I will update the thread tomorrow whether it worked or not.

Thanks,

Hi,
I tried the steps you mentioned and it worked. I can see the lights blink when I lock/unlock the doors.

Thank you so much.
