2012 Grand Caravan door panel removal???
I just bought a 2012 grand caravan and I am going to replace my factory speakers. I am looking for some help with the front door panels. I have replaced many speakers before but never on a vehicle only a few weeks old. If I screw up the interior of my wifes new van I'll never hear the end of it. haha
Hey thanks for the diagram. I actually just "went for it" earlier today and it all worked out fine. I got the speakers all in and now I have to figure out where to mount the amp. lol
Thanks again!!
Thanks again!!
If you are looking at 2011+, Chrysler is still working on completely the repair manual, A lot of informations are still missing. especially wiring diagram.
If you are looking for More informed repair manual than Chiltons printed manual you buy from part store, online subscription is the best source.
If you are just looking for a Single Vehicle, they are fairly cheap.

Update: In the 2012 models you will need torque drivers to remove the panel and speakers. T15 for the panel and T20 for the speakers. A interior panel removing tool for about $10 is highly recommended to ensure taking the panel off with out damaging anything. After removing the screws the panel just pops off. Mine was on real tight so I was afraid at first, but the tool made it easy.
The baskets on my speakers were just barely fit and it was real snug as I used boom mats to baffle the back and create an enclosed space to tighten the bass response of the speakers. I highly recommend them as they get rid of the muffled sound from the speakers using the entire door as a box.
Even with the stock stereo the sound is much more clean and bright with after market speakers. I'm likely going to change out the rears and leave in the stock head unit as I like the steering wheel controls.
